"I Bred a Champion Racehorse"

Research and planning are a part of it;

using knowledge of

what has gone before to

help define the future.

Class, consistency and looks,

pedigree, performance, progeny.

All contributory factors.

Good judgement comes into it,

good horsemanship, good

fortune.

But ultimately, it's about this.

The dream.

The passionate belief that one

day you will be able to say,

"I bred a Champion racehorse".

The History of Lochey Stables

From February 2001 to early May 2003, Lochey Stables raced a variety of horses, including the "special horses" like Fast Track, Ante Up and That's A Wrap.  We also successfully campaigned Bold n' Gold to qualify for Championships in her first year of racing and win the Distaff Championship (second two legs) the next year.  In 2002, Bold n' Gold was voted Impressive Older Mare of the Year and raced for several more months with a handicap, switching to the sticks in her last race and finishing a healthy third.
We retired Bold n' Gold and not long after that, left the business.  However, we returned the next spring and raced lightly all through 2004.  In December 2004, we decided that we'd focus on breeding.  We sold the training farm in western Pennsylvania and moved back to eastern Pennsylvania to a smaller farm.
We have a good start on our broodmare band, with MSW/Millionarie/Champion/Impressive Mare Bold N' Gold returning in spring 2004.  Her rival, Double Dare, MSW and Millionaire, joined us in the fall of 2004.  We also purchased An Angel's Message from Coldwater Creek; Forever Secret and Lyric from Sweetwater Dancing and Waltzing Matilda from Cricket Hill.  We're in the process of negotiation sales of several more mares from various farms.

Please take a look around :)

NOTE: None of this is real, all of these people, horses, buildings and locations are part of a fantasy horse racing game called Webrunners.  I apologize for any confusion.
